BEAUTIFUL WORKS OF ART FOR YOUR HOME OR WORKPLACe

Cascading water

Dozens of quiet roads climb up from the Slocan Valley bottom into the hills. Many are built along creeks, which also provide water for locals homesteading on the valley’s slopes. Wolverton Creek is one of them, its pristine water constantly aerated by the tumbling terrain.

OXBOW IN WINTER

The Slocan River twists and braids along the valley bottom as it winds its way from the lake to the Kootenay River.

A CREEK FREED

Pretty little Carpenter Creek tumbles and plays its way through a park in the little village of Slocan. For decades it’s been hidden underground by industrial development, but is now being released, and restored to its former beauty.

STILL POOLS RUN CLEAR

The Slocan offers a paradise for kayakers, canoeists, hikers and campers. Valhalla Provincial Park borders one side of Slocan Lake, with a dozen streams flowing glacier melt into the lake. Nemo Creek is one of them, its rushing falls punctuate by still pools of crystal-clear water.
